10 Healthy Tips For Well-being
TIP FIVE
Use Aromatherapy
The research continues to prove the undeniable value of aromatherapy in our wellness and well being. Essential oils are extracted from various types of plants, shrubs, trees, flowers and herbs. Many holistic and natural health practitioners believe that essential oils have a variety of healing and medicinal properties. Topically, many solutions composed of essential oils used in aromatherapy massage are being used today in oncology units. Aromatherapy not only enliven our senses, but they also have antifungal, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. They work topically or as an inhalant which then stimulate the immune system to attack harmful bacteria, virus and fungi and further promote healing. Roman chamomile is an excellent oil option for treating dry and sensitive skin. When used on a regular, daily basis it reduces the itchiness, irritation, inflammation, redness and dryness that often accompanies sensitive skin. Lavender essential oil has a soothing and balancing effect on the skin. Lavender hydrosol is thought to have a cooling and soothing effect on sunburns or skin irritations, and it smells so relaxing. Aromatherapy can help you navigate the terrain of your healing journey from surviving to thriving during cancer recovery. Lavender hydrosol can be applied daily to skin to help soothe the mind, body & spirit.
